PARENT COMMUNICATION

Parent communication is of primary importance at Foundations. We have six administrators on site daily to make sure we meet your needs.

SCHOLASTICS BOOK FAIR

Twice a year, we hold the Scholastics Book Fair in our lobby. The children enjoy picking out favorite books, and the classrooms get at least 30 new books per year!

Parents Central Online

Effective communication with our parents continues to be a top priority at Foundations. We use an online system called ParentsCentral as our primary point of communication. Each classroom has a website with an Event Calendar, Newsletters, and individual journals for each child. The journal allows parents & teachers to privately communicate information, and the newsletters allow group communications. Every day, parents receive a Discovery Report via email that includes descriptions of the morning activities, along with pictures from the day. These are available on the classroom website, so new parents that come to the school can see what the class has been doing and be up to date even before their child begins.

Parent Survey

We are so thankful to have such a wonderful group of families as part of our school. We strive to continuously improve our program and to understand the needs of our families. Feedback is an essential part of the process. By participating in our bi-annual surveys, you will help us improve the school and meet NAEYC & SACS-CASI standards for communication. There are just 10 short questions to the survey. We ask your opinion on Premium Services classes, Extra Curricular classes, Curriculum & Learning, and Communication. Parent Teacher Review

We know that our teachers' success is a vital component of our program. Teachers undergo continuous training and coaching, and twice a year we do a formal performance review along with goal setting session. We invite parents to provide part of the review input, along with the information submitted by co-teachers and administrators. Please take a few moments to complete a bi-annual online review of your child's teachers. All review results will be compiled and presented to the teachers as an average of parent opinion. This information will help us define areas of improvement and areas of commendation for each teacher. It is our goal to provide our teachers with the information and resources they need to continue to improve, and your input will help us with this. Thank you for your participation!
