FIELD TRIPS
Children in the Pre-School, Pre-Kindergarten & Primary Grades can participate in optional field trips. The field trips are planned by the classroom teachers to supplement the learning and projects in the classrooms. Over the summer, we offer as many as two field trips per week. Field trip destinations so far have included: Chattahoochee Nature Center, Center for Puppetry Arts, Publix, Cagle's Dairy Farm, Theater in the Square, Civil War Museum, Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park, Tangle Wood Farms, Escalade Rock Climbing Gym, and more.
Foundations makes safety a priority at all times, especially on field trips. We transport using a 14-passenger activity bus, the safest type of children's transportation. We use a 4-point harness system, the equivalent of a car-seat. Each child wears an ID band with contact information, and it can only be removed with the assistance of an adult. Field trips have at least one parent chaperone to help assist the group.
